Historic Schoolhouse Preserved
The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center Tina Turner Museum
In the quaint town of Brownsville, Tennessee, a historic one-room African-American schoolhouse has been transformed into a museum dedicated to the life and legacy of Grammy Award-winning singer Tina Turner. The museum, located at 121 Sunny Hill Cove, offers visitors a glimpse into Turner's remarkable journey from her humble beginnings in Brownsville to her international stardom.
Upcoming Statue Commissioned
To further honor Turner's impact on Brownsville, a six-foot bronze statue of the legendary singer is set to be erected in the town. The statue, which is expected to be completed in April 2024, will become a symbol of Turner's indelible connection to her hometown.
