Hundreds of Casualties Reported as Violence Intensifies

Israeli airstrikes and shelling have killed dozens of people, including children, in multiple locations across Gaza. According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, at least 67 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air and sea attacks on Rafah early on Monday. Wafa news agency also reported the death of a Palestinian woman and injuries to others in an Israeli air raid on Rafah.

The latest attacks come amid heightened tensions between Israel and Hamas, the Islamist militant group that controls Gaza. Israel has launched a military operation aimed at halting rocket fire from Gaza, while Hamas has vowed to continue firing rockets until Israel lifts its blockade of the territory.

The international community has expressed grave concern over the escalating violence. The United Nations Security Council is set to hold an emergency meeting on the situation on Monday.
